The birth of industrial arts and craft in the 19th century and its development during the 20th century. From industrial arts and crafts to industrial design. Who's who in industrial design. Arts and crafts and design in Finland, it's development, the factors and persons who had an effect on the development. The relationship between material culture and social and industrial development. The history of Western European, Scandinavian and Finnish design.
