The course covers technique exercises by using different tools. These include tempera colours, watercolours, washing technique, collage, miscellaneous techniques and special techniques.

The aim of this course is to introduce the student to various sketching tools and techniques. He/she is able to apply them in designing textile materials, surfaces or patterns as well as in any kind of visual design.
