Course contents (core content level)
The course covers the basics of printed textile design; surface design, report writing, producing colour series and pattern families. Basics of printing fabrics will also be discussed; printing by using pigment colours, pattern exposure and printing on a continuous surface.

The aim of this course is to introduce the student to the basics of printed textile design. He/she is able to produce a manufactured fabric based on his/her original ideas. The student has knowledge of the industrial design and printing methods.
