The course covers planning and visualisation of knitting weaves by hand. Basics of Designa Knit -programme. Students acquire information about programmes through practical work. Designing their own knitting weaves by hand for decoration purposes.

Core content level learning outcomes (knowledge and understanding)
This course enables the student to design different knitting materials. The student is able to design his/her own knitting weaves through both visual drawing and by using Designa Knit for decoration purposes. The student is introduced to computer-aided knitting design and he/she is able to use Designa Knit in designing knitting weaves and interactive knitting.
