The course will cover knitting weave and material assignments by using a knitting machine, identifying knitting weaves, preparing knitting weave cards, observation recording, knitting your own knitting weaves and knitting weave material recording.

Core content level learning outcomes (knowledge and understanding)
A course designed to provide information about various knitting weave techniques, materials and tools used in knitted garments. The student learns to read the knitting machine manuals and use them when producing different knitting weaves. As well as learning to identify knitting weaves and their uses and interpreting knitting weave instructions, the student learns to creatively develop his/her own knitting weaves. He/she is able to choose the most appropriate raw materials for the knitted garments as well as creatively test and combine materials. The student also learns about comparing knitting materials based on the practical value and economy.
