Course contents (core content level)
The course covers western interior decoration styles from the Renaissance until the 1960's. We will take a look at the influence both architecture and fashion have had on interior design. Changes in interiors and design language as well as materials and colours dating from different stylistic periods will also be discussed.

The student is able to identify European decors and architectural and interior desing from different time periods. He/she will be able to recognize the specific features, forms and colour used during different historical time periods.
