Basics of image programs.

Course contents (core content level)

Unit 1:The course deals with issues such as human data processing system and its requirements for visual and verbal planning, distinguishability, data processing capacity, contents criteria and applying the data.
Unit 2:Distinguishability and intelligibility in the light of researches. Standards. Designing a brand and interpretation testing as a survey exercise.

Core content level learning outcomes (knowledge and understanding)

Unit 1: The aim is to introduce the student to the thoretical background of visual expression; to provide the student with information about the requirements for the visual communication which can later be applied in different media.
Unit 2: The aim is to give a scientific and artistic basis for brand and sign designing which can later be applied when designing road signs, logos and sign systems.
