Sisältö (ydinaines ja -osaaminen)

The course prepares the student for the job application process from completing a skills analysis to writing an effective CV and cover letter to being interviewed in English. This prepares and motivates the student for finding challenging placement positions and assists them in their job hunt after graduation.

Skills and competencies analysis, job search procedures, placement and recruitment procedures.

Tiedolliset oppimistulokset (ydinaines ja -osaaminen)

Upon completion of the course the student will know and be prepared for the various stages of the job application process. Students learn how to effectively prepare job applications in English and are familiar with the types of job application placement employers usually prefer.

Taidolliset oppimistulokset (ydinaines ja -osaaminen)

By the end of the course the students will be able to
* effectively present their skills and competencies, experiences, abilities, knowledge etc in a CV and letter of application in English.
* perform effectively and convincingly in a job interview in English.
* use various resources to find work placement opportunities.

Students will also have learned practical tips and useful information from the international placement experiences of the 4th year EBA students in a placement workshop.

The course is graded on a Pass/Fail basis.
Students must complete the CV, letter, job interview and individual CV consultation to pass the course
