Rationale
The course is designed to introduce the diversity of Asia as a business area, complexity and dynamics of business in Asia. The course will concentrate on the growth possibilities in Asia and backgrounds and dynamics of Asian economic crisis.

The course particularly focuses on governance frames, business practices, culture and social structures in preparing companies to organise their business in Asia.


Aims
Understanding business dynamics together with cultural values equips you with the necessary management knowledge as well as analytical skills for the effective strategic marketing in the Asia Pacific countries. A greater insight will be given into the different administrative modes, business cultures and cultural aspects to build an important framework whilst starting business in the Asia Pacific area.

Opetusmenetelmät

The course will be arranged as an intensive course and is divided into lectures (30 hours) and a group work report (50 hours). You are encouraged to become an active information seeker in Asia Pacific matters.

Arvioinnin perusteet

To pass the module the student must achieve a minimum of 45 for the exam and project work. In the absence of extenuating circumstances the student must attend all lectures.
