Aiemmat ammattiainekurssit edellisiltä lukuvuosilta, erityisesti Pigmentit I ja II sekä luonnon- ja synteettiset materiaalit.

Sisältö (ydinaines ja -osaaminen)

Opintojaksolla käydään läpi retusoinnin historia, etiikka ja estetiikka sekä tutustutaan teoriassa ja käytännössä retusoinnissa käytettäviin materiaaleihin ja tekniikoihin.

Sisältö (täydentävä ja erityisosaaminen)

Retusoinnissa käytettävät synteettiset ja luonnonmateriaalit ja erityyppiset retusointitekniikat käydään läpi teoriassa. Harjoitustyönä opiskleija tekee eri materiaaleilla ja tekniikoilla referenssikappaleen itselle.
Konservoitavat maalaukset retusoidaan käyttämällä eri retusointitekniikoita riippuen maalauksen tyypistä ja vaurioista.

Tiedolliset oppimistulokset (ydinaines ja -osaaminen)

Opiskelijaa perehtyy retusoinnin historiaan, osa valita ja soveltaa eri retusointimateriaaleja ja tekniikoita riippuen esineen vauriotyypistä ja arvomaailmasta.

Taidolliset oppimistulokset (ydinaines ja -osaaminen)

Opiskelijalla on valmius käyttää erilaisia retusointimateriaaleja ja tekniikoita käytännön konservointityössä ja opiskelija pystyy suorittamaan retusoinnin laadullisesti ja esteettisesti hyväksyttävästi.
