MASTER’S DEGREE PROGRAMME

EVTEK’s Master’s Degree in Entrepreneurship and Business Competence prepares students for a life as professionals and managers. The degree, which gives the title of Master in Business Administration, was composed to serve the needs of life-long learning. The general goal of the Master’s degree at universities of applied sciences is to provide students with sufficient knowledge and skills required in advanced tasks in working life. A central specific goal is to provide companies with change agents, which can function as initiators for improvement.

Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Business Competence consists of 90 ECTS credits. It is recommended to combine working and studying; an indicative length of the programme is three years. The programme consists of three equivalent parts: obligatory modules in advanced professional studies, electives and the Master’s Thesis. The dominating part of the programme is the three year project and a Master’s Thesis based on the project, together worth 30 ECTS credits. The project is usually carried out in a real-life situation in working life and it has a strong effect on the choice of the elective modules. Methodological studies are an important part of the programme and provide students with the necessary basis for carrying out applied research projects. Advanced professional studies provide sufficiently knowledge and skills to understand the professional development of the field, both from research and practical viewpoints. Elective modules the student chooses according to his/her personal studying plan from the 200 ECTS credits wide selection provided by EVTEK and its partner schools.
