GRADUATION INSTRUCTIONS

Graduation

The graduation requires acceptable completion of all the required studies, including work placement (Bachelor degree students), Bachelor’s/Master’s Thesis and maturity test according to the curriculum of the Degree Programme and the confirmed individual study plan.

Graduation is confirmed in the meeting of the Degree Awarding Board.

THE DEGREE CERTIFICATE

The University of Applied Sciences will award a Degree Certificate for the completed degree and a transcript which contains e.g. the name of the degree and degree programme, content of the degree and grades of the completed courses.

In the English degree programmes graduating students will be given a Degree Certificate and transcript in both English and Finnish language.

In the Finnish degree programmes graduating students will be given a Degree Certificate and transcript in Finnish language and a translation of the transcript in English language.

In the double-degree programmes (European Management and European Business Administration) graduating students will be awarded a Degree Certificate from both institutes.

STEPS TO TAKE BEFORE GRADUATION

1. Graduating student must fill in the Graduation Application form and deliver it to the Student Affairs Office four (4) weeks before the Degree Awarding Board (DAB) meeting at the latest.

2. The Degree Programme will check whether all the required studies have been completed and it is possible for the student to graduate and inform the result to Student Affairs Office.

The Student Affairs Office will notify the student of this decision.

3. After the Degree Programme has accepted the graduation application, the student must fill in the Graduation Confirmation form and deliver it to the Student Affairs Office five (5) days before the DAB meeting at the latest.

4. The DAB will confirm the graduation.

Only those who have submitted both Graduation Application and Graduation Confirmation forms as instructed by the deadline will graduate.

GRADUATION TIMETABLE 2007-2008

Double degree students who will graduate from the partner institute in July will be confirmed as graduated from EVTEK later in the first DAB meeting of autumn semester.
