Opening Hours
Opening Hours and Access
The units are open as follows:
Leppävaara and Myyrmäki
Weekdays from 7.30 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. (teaching ends at 9.00 p.m.), Saturdays from 8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
Tikkurila
Weekdays from 7.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. (teaching ends at 8.30 p.m.), Saturdays on agreement.
Laboratories must be empty by 8.30 p.m. on weekdays, if there is no teaching. The teachers will see to that the students will leave the laboratories after 8.30 p.m. and they also make sure that the doors will be locked and lights switched off. A temporary access permit for a student to work from 8.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. can be arranged on the teacher’s proposal. The caretakers have right to remove students from laboratories and from other rooms if they have not valid access rights.
The caretakers and a surveillance camera system control the premises during daytime. At night a security company is responsible for the security. The students must never leave their valuables unguarded. EVTEK does not compensate any articles or clothes lost from locked lockers or from coat racks.
Access Control System
The access control system at the Institute of Technology and School of Business Administration has the following principles:
Every student uses an access card. Access rights are defined according to the student’s degree programme. Laboratory and computer class doors are always kept locked and they can be accessed only with an access card. For your own safety do not put waste paper baskets or other obstacles between the door, because information on who has opened the door will be recorded in the system’s memory.
Access card system is not used in the Institute of Art and Design. The students have their own key (20€ deposit) to class rooms and departments.
