Institute of Technology

The library has premises and Information Services both in Espoo and in Vantaa . The library collections contain approximately 29 000 volumes literature and 430 annual volumes of journals and EVTEK technician and bachelor’s theses. The library has no course library as such. Various sources in different fields of technology can be accessed through EVTEK electronic library, for example  learning material, electronic journals, e-books and electronic reference material and reference databases.

The Library staff will assist in information search when needed. The students will be instructed in information retrieval in the Introduction to Engineering Studies study unit and in Bachelor’s Thesis seminars.

Libraries have group and project work rooms and Personal Computers for information retrieval. In both libraries there is also a reading room for quiet studying.

Opening hours during semesters:

Espoo          Mon. and Wed. from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  

                      Tue. and Thur. from 9.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.

                      Fri. from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Vantaa         Mon. and Wed. from 9 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.

                      Tue. and Thur. from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

                      Fri. from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.                    

Reading rooms at both libraries are open Mon. - Fri. from 8.00 a.m. to 7.30 p.m.              

Exceptions in the opening hours will be notified on the library homepages, Ovi portal and on the entrance doors.
