Work Placement Abroad

Part or even all work placement included in an EVTEK degree can be completed abroad. Work placement abroad is highly recommended as it improves your working skills in international business environment. Several trainees and thesis workers from EVTEK work in companies and at research institutes all over the world annually. Students of EVTEK have got international experience related to their field of study in Asia, Africa, Australia, North and South America and in several European countries.

Applying for Work Placement

Most students obtain their work placement or final year project placement abroad by themselves with the help of their own contacts or by active search for work.

Students and recent graduates can also apply for trainee exchange through CIMO, the Centre for International Mobility. CIMO runs or coordinates for example following trainee exchange programmes: bilateral agreements, IAESTE, Leonardo da Vinci, Nordjobb, traineeships in international organizations and in Finpro Trade Centres. Guidance and Information

Applying a work placement abroad requires from the student good advance planning and considerable effort in searching for a job. The student himself is always responsible for obtaining a work placement.

Information about international work placement is available from the persons responsible for the work placement in your field of study.

Financing

Work placement abroad is usually work with pay. When needed, you can apply for student financial aid for the training period from KELA.
